  1. Did you read Ed Hirsh’s poem Gabriel? In it he talks about doing exactly what you’re doing (not ballet, some boy-thing his son did). I had all best intentions yesterday afternoon, but brain too sleepy, so I read “Baltimore Magazine” instead.

    • I haven’t read the whole thing yet—I’ve only peeked at it, and looked at it longingly :). But I’m always happy to hear the stories of other parent-poets who get the job done. Sometimes the brain needs a break; glad you took one!
